Towns and villages

  • Folkestone (6 miles) - home of the newly developed Harbour Arm and Creative Quarter, Folkestone has a unique vibe.  Stroll through town to the Old High Street and its downhill to the Harbour with its array of bars and eateries.  Along the seafront is a sandy play park for the children and various activities place during the summer months.
  • Dover (8 miles) - home of the famous White Cliffs, topped by Dover Castle and the war time tunnels, both of which are worth a visit.  The ferry port is situated at the edge of town, with ferries running to and from Calais in France as well as other ports in Europe, on a regular basis.
  • Canterbury (12 miles) - as well as a large variety of shops, including the major high street ones, there are a number of historic and famous places to visit in Canterbury.  Take stroll around the city wall, visit the cathedral and learn the history of the area with a visit to the Canterbury Tales .
